The role of Management Accountant supports the Finance Business Partner to identify, monitor and manage financial risks. This is achieved through the provision of expert management accounting knowledge and experience, including financial analysis, budgeting and financial reporting to ensure that the financial goals of the organisation are achieved. The Management Accountant will also arrange or provide guidance and training on the financial systems and required financial practices.

The Management Accountant role has two key components. Firstly, the role will assist with the oversight of the financial affairs of a portfolio of units. The allocation may change from time-to-time, but the assumption in this role is for this to be a significant component of the role. The second part of the role is to provide financial support and assistance for the Finance Business Partner as well as providing key analysis across the University.
