The newly established Workplace Services Group at Te Tari Taiwhenua (DIA) is seeking proven leaders who know what good looks like and are happy to share this across the teams. This is an exciting newly established role where you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the security and safety functions, ensuring that DIA Branches and our Leadership Team have access to the range of high quality strategic advice necessary to meet DIA business needs, legislative and regulatory requirements. This includes the development and implementation of a security and safety management program to ensure appropriate strategies and effective business practices are agreed and in place for DIA.

You will join our newly formed leadership team where we will fully support and encourage you in your leadership development and will offer you every opportunity to grow and thrive in your role. We are seeking proven leaders who are keen to be part of and help form a high performing, cohesive and functioning team.

You will have proven experience in the following areas:

  • Proven track record as a leader in the Security sector

  • Leading a high achieving team and motivating performance

  • Dealing with high levels of complexity and ambiguity

  • Senior leadership role leading Security Programmes or Security and Consultancy Services, particularly in the government sector

  • Comprehensive understanding of strategic and business planning and how this can be utilised to deliver business change

  • Understanding of information, knowledge and data trends and how they can enable business productivity and increasing government transparency

  • Ability to obtain a National Security clearance

You will bring strong strategic and analytical thinking along with a flexible approach and responsiveness to new ideas and activities.
