Our client is a large Australian company specialising in recycling and resource recovery. The organisation has a huge focus on sustainability, passionate about the environment and focused on making recycling simple.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales and relationship professional to spearhead the growth in New Zealand. A key part of this role will be to build and foster partnerships with key stakeholders within government, local government and the community.

This focus will be directed to a key part of their business. In Australia they are the leading provider of this service with more than 4 million Australian household customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to come in at ground level and continue to drive the phenomenal growth of this innovative company.

To be successful this in this role you will need to be:

  • A self-starter who is naturally passionate about any project they are involved in
  • You have previous experience working with start-up and new business wins
  • Your communication style is confident and you have strong capability across presentation work and winning business at senior levels
  • You understand the government landscape, infrastructure and are very well networked at a senior level
  • You may currently be in the sustainability, recycling or waste sector or another sector where the sales opportunity is driven from the highest level with long lead times
  • Commercial and extremely confident driving budgets, numbers and opportunities
  • Natural sales capability; introducing and targeting opportunities across your well-established business network

Essential background for this opportunity will include:

  • A highly established professional network in New Zealand
  • Won significant projects or opportunities in New Zealand
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a relevant sector
  • Experience in establishing “start up” style opportunities
  • Proven ability to meet KPI, budgets and deadlines
