A well-known household name in New Zealand, this organisation has been involved in the home & living business for over 40 years from over 14 locations across the country. With 2 distribution centres running at full steam, they are now on the hunt to find an experienced Outbound Team Leader in this newly created role to manage the day-to-day outbound operations at their Auckland premises.
Directly reporting into the Operations Manager, this role looks after managing a team of outbound staff and working together to increase delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction. With a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency, the role is responsible for ensuring needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role cover Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm with some rostered Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities In This Position Includes:
- People management of 4 direct reports
- Strong continuous improvement focus using LEAN principles
- Running of wave shifts
- Managing transport providers
- Organising maintenance of warehouse and machinery
You will have extensive experience managing a team of pick packers within FMCG and know how to get the best out of your team to achieve great results. Being able to relate to the floor and senior leadership alike, your communication skills set you apart from the rest. Leading from the front, you will be a champion the values of having a strong work ethic, being proactive and continuous improvement.
