I am looking for an experienced Payroll Manager, to lead a team of 12 Payroll Advisors, Officers and Analysts for a large public sector client. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys leading and mentoring teams, has a pro-active working style and enjoys streamlining business processes.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure all payroll runs smoothly, employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Manage, coach and mentor teams to meet payroll goals and objectives
  • Oversight of incoming workstreams, business processes and workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure the Payroll system is running at its best at all times, emsures system issues are followed through to acceptable resolutions
  • Improve Payroll systems and business processes for the Team and internal clients
  • Work with the Finance team across the provision of information, reconciliation of issues and reporting

Desired Experience:

  • 5+ years experience at an Intermediate or Senior level, withing Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll principles, New Zealand legislation and practices
  • Experience across managing small and large teams, particularly within the Payroll space
  • Ability to improve business processes and systems to raise business performance and efficiency
