We’re looking for a payroll officer to join as vibrant and influential non-profit organisation as the other half of two-person team.
As the Payroll Officer you will be required to provide accurate and timely processing of assigned payrolls, maintenance of employee details, and assistance with other duties that may be required to run an efficient, friendly Finance & Commercial Division.

You will be responsible for the calculation and processing of assigned payroll and will provide a high level of customer service in response to enquiries from employees relating to employee details, leave entitlements, verification of earnings etc.

In this role you will:

  • Update, maintain and load employee information into the Payroll system
  • Process end-to-end Payroll, ensuring calculations are accurate and timely
  • Provide regular Payroll reports as required internally and externally (IRD, court deductions, ACC)
  • Respond to enquiries and requests for information from customers
  • Support the HR Administrator on the maintenance of employee information
  • Contribute to the functioning of a high-performing team, including project support

What You Will Bring to this Role:

  • Experience in a similar payroll position, with the confidence to run end-to-end Payroll processes
  • Experience using IMS payroll system or similar
  • Good knowledge of NZ payroll related legislation
  • The ability to interpret and apply employment and collective agreements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
