The Practice Lead is responsible for leading six specialist consultants, in a portfolio of small semi-autonomous teams, providing targeted guidance, advice and practical support to Public Service agencies. The consultants specialist areas include: privacy and assurance, governance, investment and digital service design.

This role has a strong people management component. You will:

  • Develop high performing teams within the portfolio 
  • Deal with escalated issues
  • Manage team resourcing requirements and provide advice around key pieces of work the team are involved in
  • Foster a customer-centred approach and culture
  • Build capability to adapt to new ways of working

You will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Managing or leading a team including planning, monitoring and reporting
  • Digital experience, knowledge and credibility in this area (preferred)
  • Strength in networking, engagement and facilitating discussions leading to decisions
  • Strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills
