Opportunity for an experienced Procurement Advisor to join a collaborative team and provide strategic and tactical procurement direction, advice and support to business Ohu across the organization!

As the Procurement Advisor you will be expected to manage all procurement life cycles, provide sound advice and support to the business throughout the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring procurements are sound, represent good value-for-money and align with the wider strategic objectives of Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori . You will also be expected to support others in the team to deliver procurement activity of high value, complexity and/or risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting budget managers delivering ‘good practice’ procurement and contract management
  • Maintaining and updating the corporate contracts register, sponsorship agreements, regional and national initiative funding, other strategic procurement documents and the suite of operational procurement templates
  • Contributing to procurement-related reporting obligations associated processes and Procurement related administration

Experience required:

  • Technical knowledge and experience relevant to procurement management
  • Experience working in a public sector environment, with sound understanding of All of Government contracts
  • Track record in delivering supporting change, influencing, building and sustaining relationships in order to achieve results
  • Confident and skilled in influencing and engaging at all levels of an organization
  • Te reo Māori speaker and practitioner desirable
