We’re looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join an engaging public sector organisation.
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will support the Property business units and lead the Procurement Team in delivering procurement excellence both internally and externally by:
- Designing, leading, guiding, and contributing to the procurement planning, sourcing, and managing of goods and services for the organisation to deliver great outcomes, achieve public value, and manage risk.
- Advocating for strategic procurement and commercial standards and practices and their role in driving organisational effectiveness and high-performing public services.
- Acting as a trusted and influential business partner, managing stakeholder relationships and delivering best possible outcomes for the sourcing of goods and services against public policy objectives and business needs.
You will bring to this role:
- Experience in a procurement category manager or similar related role involving a broad range of procurement and commercial responsibilities in a complex commercial environment
- An ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
- Experience in risk identification, mitigation and management
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Understanding the ‘machinery’ of Government
- A relevant degree in law, economics, commerce, business, or finance desirable
