We are currently sourcing a permanent Procurement Specialist on an exclusive basis for the Department of Corrections. With an incredibly diverse asset portfolio of $2.8bn across NZ and significant change to enable new ways of working to fulfil their new strategy Hokai Rangi, this is an exciting time join their newly formed Asset Management team.

The procurement specialist will be a sought after expert within the Assets directorate. You will be responsible for leading complex and high risk/value procurements to ensure the delivery of the key assets and property projects, as well as provide a strategic view of the supplier landscape through developing in-depth sector knowledge and relationships. In this newly created role you have the opportunity to enhance existing policies and procedures, and support the business with negotiations and risk management strategies.

You will have:

  • Significant procurement experience within a property, construction or asset setting
  • Exposure to high risk/value complex tender processes
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to plan ahead
