Site Safe are looking for a permanent Product Manager with strong communication skills and Product ownership experience to own and manage the development, positioning and rollout of their   Zero Harm products.

This role can either be based on site in Wellington, or completed remotely from Christchurch or Auckland.

Established as a not-for-profit society in 1999, Site Safe’s goal is to help reduce harm in the New Zealand construction industry.

Zero Harm was recently acquired by Site Safe as their   new Health and Safety tool that will allow contractors to share important H&S information – such as report incidents, hazards and site plans to name a few. , The tool now needs to be moulded to fit the needs and requirements of the construction sector.

By taking ownership of the Zero Harm products, you will be responsible for growing the product, ensuring it meets the requirements of the construction sector, and making it your own! You will work with the GM Customer Strategy and Support to implement the vision, strategy and plans for the product; own and manage the maintenance and development of the product; business development; and relationship management with key customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the Zero Harm product

  • Contribute to the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Define and communicate the roadmap to meet goals
  • Manage product launches and roll-out
  • Manage, monitor and maintain the Zero Harm   product, including budgets, reporting on product performance and marketing plans
  • Work with the Software Developers on ensuring the product meets the needs of the target market
  • Champion the user needs throughout the development process and provide direction for the teams and functions supporting product delivery

Business development and customer engagement

  • Work with the GM Customer Strategy and Support to ensure that the growth and development of Zero Harm provides a strong value proposition for customers
  • Work with customers to identify ongoing enhancements
  • Manage customer relationships, providing support and advice
  • Use data, analysis and relationships to identify strong leads and develop opportunities where Site Safe can add value. This includes new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services

Lead the Zero Harm team

  • Contribute effectively to the leadership of the organisation
  • Work collaboratively and constructively with others across the business to promote and support this product
  • Create and lead an effective team through fostering a sense of connection and belonging, valuing diversity, planning, and prioritising, and creating a positive work environment
  • Develop team members by providing regular support for development; constructive feedback; and coaching and training for the ongoing development of individuals
