About the role:
We're looking for Product Owner for a client based in Tauranga. The Product Owner is a key member of a highly collaborative team, working with project stakeholders, developers, analysts and other technical personnel throughout all phases of the software implementation, development and project life cycles.
Reporting to the Platform Manager - Customer, the Product Owner's key responsibility will be to work with a cross-functional agile team and stakeholders aligned to a catalogue of software products for the council. The Product Owner will be acting as a liaison between the end user stakeholders and technical teams to achieve successful outcomes. A customer-centric approach will be crucial as you advocate for customers, and coach and support our self-managing teams as we deliver exciting and critical projects.
About you:
- Significant experience as part of delivering IT projects or services, including working in or leading agile teams (5+ years)
- Excellent analytical capability and take a process-oriented approach to issues and assigned tasks
- Previous experience in project management, user-centric design, leadership, business analysis, or product ownership is desirable
- Professional industry certification(s) appropriate to this position, for example a tertiary qualification in business, IT or similar relevant discipline.
