The Role:
Seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented project coordinator with a passion for project coordination and a desire to make an impact on legislative change in the public sector. If you are a team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, this is the role for you!
You’ll be supporting the team on a legislative change project in the public sector. Working closely with the project manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of the project. Use your experience as a Project Coordinator to help with the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements as well as:
  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met within the agreed timeline and budget
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks, escalating to the project manager as necessary
  • Prepare regular project status reports and other project-related documentation as required
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for project updates to stakeholders
  • Support the project manager in the management of project resources, including coordinating with vendors and external stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role you’ll need to be an experienced Project Coordinator with skills to hit the ground running, preferably within the public sector. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders along with the below skillset:
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software including MS Project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation

Experience in legislative processes and procedures and a qualification in project management, business administration or public policy would be desirable but not necessary.
