This growing main contractor delivers commercial projects in the $5M–$30M range across industrial, warehousing, retail, apartments, commercial, education, reclads, and healthcare. Work is secured through D&B, tendering, and negotiated repeat business, with strong pipelines from existing clients and active competition in the tender market.

As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a Project Manager who can not only run medium‑to‑large commercial builds but also step into a Construction Manager capacity as the company grows.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director, you will lead one of the upcoming projects in their pipeline, supported by a Site Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Day‑to‑day project leadership and coordination
• Regular communication with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
• Proactive management of commercial and contractual matters
• Ensuring project costs are measured, monitored, and agreed
• Strong focus on H&S, compliance, and quality delivery
• Supporting business development by identifying future opportunities

 Key Requirements

• Trade qualification, ideally supported by a tertiary qualification
• 10+ years managing medium–large commercial projects involving concrete and steel structures
• Strong understanding of the Auckland construction market and NZ commercial construction legislation
• Proficiency in MS Project with strong programming skills
• Strong financial acumen and ability to drive cost accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Business development strengths and ability to identify new opportunities

Remuneration:
$160K - $190K + vehicle pending experience and value
