Project Manager - Client Side Healthcare

This is a private hospital developer and healthcare provider that owns hospitals throughout NZ as well as operating a JV model for some hospitals.  They have a portfolio of work within their asset management division consisting of hospital upgrades, extensions and catch-up work with maintenance and repairs  to plant and equipment.  They have a significant work load over the coming years which requires some beefing up of the project and delivery management team.

This is a role reporting to the Asset Manager, they need a hands on client side/consultancy project manager to control and oversee planned work with a high degree of coordinating agreements between external PM, architects, engineers. As well there is a significant level of stakeholder management with respect to design and ensuring inputs from various departments are managed. 

Key responsibilities include:

•    Design coordination and management
•    Procurement of consultants/contractors
•    Contract Administration 
•    Project planning, construction programme development and monitoring
•    Budget forecasting, monitoring and monthly cost reporting
•    Managing main contractors and project delivery management 
•    PCG Meetings 
•    Stakeholder management 
•    Risk management and reporting 
•    Building a small team of PM’s as support 


Key Background

I am looking for a client/consultancy side project manager or main contractor PM with client side exposure with at least 5 + years experience worked on minor work or fitout projects . Healthcare/hospital experience would be highly valued. A high degree of exposure to services elements would be ideal as well 

You will possess relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or architecture. You have an understanding of client side project management principles and the lifecycle of projects. You are a proactive individual, results orientated and can leverage your strong stakeholder management. You can adapt to working within live working environments. 

The Package

This role comes with a salary package of $120K - $130K. Travel maybe required at times to other sites around NZ
