Job Description

This small yet well run professional project management office have an abundance of new project management assignments. The current Director needs the assistance of a project manager to both assist in the delivery of several assignments and take the lead of smaller projects. The firm offers a better level of flexibility and autonomy as you take on several assignments. You may be looking for an alternative and a chance to get fast tracked job ownership with one-on-one mentoring from a Director.

Clients are spread across density residential developments, commercial fit-outs, and new build commercial projects.

Typical project manager tasks you will learn include
  • Establish the project through appointing consultants, producing feasibility studies, monitoring all statutory processes and advising on procurement options
  • Project manage the construction phase, having responsibility for QA/risk, financial reporting, budget management, programming, defects list, remedial works and various project reports
  • Manage stakeholders and conduct site meetings.
As a project manager, you will need to come from a construction consultancy/client side background. Most of your 5+years of NZ based experience has been involving working on a range of commercial projects across a broad range of industries. A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Building Science, or Engineering is essential. Your ability to articulate issues and harness relationships is essential. 

Salary between $110K and $130K
