The Company:
One of the main players in the NZ commercial construction market continues to stand out from the competition and has a healthy forward workload for the foreseeable future. They are now looking for an Intermediate to Senior or Senior QS that can independantly work on projects from $3mil – $25M.
The Role:
Reporting to the QS Manager and being responsible for a number of projects, you will be responsible for administration of subcontractor contracts, cost estimating, contract negotiation, monitoring subcontractors to ensure they are undertaking works in accordance with contractual obligations, analysing costs, variations, final accounts, client meetings, resolving issues, team managment and liaising across multiple stakeholders.
Your background:
You will need to be a degree or diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience on New Zealand projects over between $5M - $20M in value. Ideally you will have at least 5 + years experience in a QS role; however estimating skills would also be useful.
You will need to have a positive attitude and be a team player. Your ability to manage relationships with colleagues, project managers, engineers, architects, sub-contractors and tradespeople will allow you to become a valued member of the project team. You will be working for another main contractor at present and be looking for enhanced career prospects whilst offering solid job security.
Remuneration:
Salary very competitive $110K - $140K
