My client is a high-profile national business that is growing from strength to strength. As part of this ongoing growth a need has arisen to appoint a Senior individual as a Regional Manager charged with continuing the growth of the region across the Agricultural sector.
This is a senior position in the organisation, reporting to the Managing director, where your role will be to oversee the Waikato region, develop the strategy around market growth whilst ensuring it is sustainable and enduring.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the financial success of the region, branches, managers, and the team on the ground. You will develop and drive the strategic plan, motivate, and develop the teams into high performing units whilst fostering a collaborative fun and inclusive culture.
One of the key elements of the role will be to develop a recruitment and onboarding/ training programme with particular focus around the company ethos and culture whilst retaining your best people.
To be considered for this role you will have experience managing a large team ideally with a Rural or Agri feel to it. You will have a high level of commercial acumen, understand customers drivers and how to coach and train managers to lead their people. You will have good financial understanding around budgets and measuring performance, where the gaps are and what needs to be done to mitigate shortcomings.
Ideally you will be experienced in the following:
- Providing Leadership across the business, ideally within a contractor or self-employed environment
- Strategy development
- Agricultural and/or Rural Executive management
- Sales driven.
- Setting budgets and performance targets
- Commercial focus
