Job Description
- Resource Manager- contractor
- 6 months - 4 days per week
- Auckland CBD
Working within a relatively low-maturity environment, the role will initially rely on manual systems, active follow-up and regular communication with contractors, agencies, hiring managers and financial or contract approvers.
The immediate priority is to ensure contractors are onboarded effectively, contract information is accurate and visible, approvals are progressed, and invoices and payments are completed on time.
The Resource Manager will also identify and recommend practical, iteractive improvements to current processes from the outset. As the work develops, they will contribute operational knowledge and user insight to broader discussions about more significant process improvements and the desired future state.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate oversight of contractors, contract terms, hourly rates, contract values, end dates and remaining financial commitments
- Coordinating contractor onboarding, extensions, variations and offboarding
- Monitoring approval, invoicing and payment processes and actively following up outstanding actions
- Acting as a central point of contact for contractors, agencies, managers, approvers and relevant teams
- Providing clear and regular reporting on resource commitments, contract values, upcoming decisions and potential issues
- Resolving day-to-day process gaps through practical communication and coordination
- Recommending manageable improvements to templates, tracking, guidance, hand-offs and communication
- Contributing frontline experience and insights to the development of more substantial future-state processes and systems
They will need to be willing to work directly with manual processes while helping the team progressively establish more consistent and efficient ways of working.
This is a delivery-focused resource coordination and process improvement role.The ideal candidate will come from recruitment/talent management / HR or a business improvement background.
