This role is all about engagement and your ability to build strong relationships with the Pacific communities identifying opportunities to support commercial advancement and development opportunities in Auckland across a broad range of entities including but not limited to Pasifika Institutions, communities, businesses, academic institutions, along with key personnel within Auckland Council and the broader government-based organisations in the Auckland region.
This role will require your strategic nous to deliver the oganisations short and long term objectives into the community, and to undetake outreach activities to increase the knowledge around critical importance to Pacific constituencies. In turn taking this advice and using it to provide accurate credible advice to varous senior stakeholders across the Public sector and local government.
Success will be defined by the increase in collaboration within the community, higher levels of engagement and information that provides opportunities to increase knowledge and allows the organisation to direct their efforts in a more sustainable and value adding manner.
You will have the relevant tertiary qualifications and be uniquely placed to interact and engage with the communities, being credible and providing leadership by contributing proactively delivering sustainable high performance. You must have the ability and experience in building strong relationships across a broad audience. It would be useful if you had experience within the public sector, although not essential. What is essential is your ability to provide leadership within the community and be a trusted advisor.
For this position it is essential that you hold NZ Citizenship and are aware of the Auckland demographics.
