Job Description

We are working with two highly regarded commercial main contractors who have secured strong project pipelines and are looking to grow their Quantity Surveying teams.

Opportunity 1

This established contractor is known for its inclusive, close-knit culture and strong reputation in the market. Their portfolio includes projects ranging from $5M to $50M across:
  • Commercial offices
  • Industrial facilities
  • Warehousing
  • Retail developments
  • Apartments
  • Community projects
They are seeking both a Senior Quantity Surveyor and an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor. The Intermediate role offers an excellent opportunity to step up and take commercial responsibility for individual projects while supporting larger project teams.
 

Opportunity 2

I am also recruiting a Senior and Intermediate QS for another respected head contractor delivering a diverse range of projects including:
  • Ministry of Education developments
  • Remediation projects
  • Auckland Airport (AIAL) works
  • Commercial new-build construction
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of tenders and project cost plans
  • Lead complex contractual management
  • Contract administration
  • Evaluation and pricing of variations
  • Liaising with subcontractors, consultants and the client
  • Cost monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Preparation, submission and negotiation of progress claims
  • Management and negotiation of final accounts
About You
Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
  • Minimum 7 – 8 years' experience with a commercial main contractor
  • Proven experience delivering commercial new-build projects valued over $10M
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
  • Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
  • 3 to 6 years' experience with a commercial main contractor
  • Exposure to commercial construction projects and a desire to take on greater responsibility

Salary
  • $150K - $190K Senior Level Salary (pending experience)
  • $120K - $145K – Intermediate level Salary (pending experience)
