An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Category Manager with a strong commercial procurement experience to support the wider team in a highly desirable public sector organization!

As the Senior Category Manager you'll work closely with other Senior Category Managers who will help you navigate our complex organization and to share expertise and collaborate to avoid critical risk, regardless of portfolio.
Key Deliverables:
- Will be a procurement generalist including experience in IT procurement
- Conduct and review supply market assessments
- Develop and review sourcing strategies
- Run tender and evaluation processes for complex materials and services
- Conduct supplier negotiations and implementation of contracts
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Strong commercial experience in a complex medium to large organisation including significant experience in a procurement role that encompasses the negotiation of deals (category specific & generic)
- Experience managing completion of project activities against the project workplan including weekly update reports for distribution and presentation in meetings
- Highly effective relationship management, communication, advocacy and influencing skills at all levels
- Experience preparing and facilitating brainstorming and workshop sessions to develop and test hypotheses and the proposed approach
