- Senior Data Engineer (Contract)
- Location: Auckland (Hybrid)
- Contract: Immediate Start – October 2026 (initial term, with potential for extension)
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team on an initial contract through to October 2026.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions, building ETL processes, and supporting reporting and analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Build and enhance ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable data for reporting and analytics.
- Develop and optimise SQL queries and data models.
- Support Power BI reporting and data visualisation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the wider data team to deliver project outcomes.
- Proven commercial experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Strong experience with Data Warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with WhereScape RED.
- Advanced SQL development skills.
- Strong experience designing and developing ETL solutions.
- Experience supporting or developing Power BI reporting solutions.
- Ability to work independently and contribute in a fast-paced project environment.
