About The Role:

The ER Advisory team provide sound advice to empower Managers and staff to make an informed decision at the right time, while minimising potential risk to the organisation.

In this role, you would have the opportunity to:

  • Support managers by providing a range of expert knowledge and advice on a broad range of employment relations issues
  • Coach and influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Assist managers to build the necessary knowledge & skills to be effective leaders and manage issues efficiently enabling a higher quality service to our customer
  • Support multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Provide technical employment relations coaching and guidance to ER Advisors on employment relations and performance issues
  • Through your interactions influence your managers to build a culture of outperformance across the business, focussed around the organisatrions values
  • Actively be involved in Employment Relations projects with NZ and global scope

About You:

  • To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of Employment, Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Laws and the relationship between Policies, Employment Agreements & Collective
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with and negotiating and/or influencing union & legal representatives
  • Specialist employee relations knowledge including misconduct, poor performance, absenteeism, long-term illness and the investigation and resolution of EEO complaints and other grievances
  • Superior influencing, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement and commercial acumen to a range of cases (including complex employee relations casework
  • Project Management skills
