This medium sized contractor has developed a quality brand in the market over the past few years, they are a family orientated culture and have been proven for their quality record of delivery. They complete projects in the $2M - $20M category across sectors such as health, fit out, commercial, warehousing, education and heritage across the Auckland region. Their team operates efficiently and effectively with very little staff turnover, the culture is important to them and emphasis on team fit is regarded highly in the recruitment process.
They are now looking for a driven and motivated commercially minded estimator that is keen to work with clients to provide costing through the process.
Working with the commercial manager, the key focus of the role is to manage the estimating process from working with drawings (some limited sets of drawings), the sub contractor tendering and estimating tasks including take offs and BOQ’s from start to completion, the role requires precision estimating understanding margins and quality pricing.
In order to be a success in this position, you must have at least 8 years of estimating experience across a range of commercial builds as well as knowledge of the local market preferred, understanding rates and commercial construction legislation. You possess a relevant tertiary qualification.
