My client and the role:
Beyond is assisting a complex large government organisation in recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant. You will be reporting to the financial accounting manager. You will be the point of contact responsible for providing expert financial accounting advice.
The role will be an interesting mix of financial accounting with some management accounting aspects thrown in.
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for delivering the following:
- Work across large projects and programmes to be the trusted accounting advisor
- Take the lead role on accounting for debt and Public-Private Partnerships.
- Work with other finance colleagues on larger projects as they arise.
- Share your knowledge across the financial accounting team to ensure a strong and unified team.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Chartered Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proactive with ability to focus on system, process, and reporting improvements
- Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and influencing skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders (internal and external)
