About the role
Reporting into the Financial Accounting leadership team, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering timely and accurate monthly, board and statutory reporting.
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and associated financial controls.
- Managing reconciliations and ensuring issues are identified and resolved proactively.
- Providing technical accounting advice and implementing changes arising from accounting standard updates.
- Ensuring GST, FBT and PAYE obligations are met accurately and on time.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and financial policies.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing trusted financial advice across the organisation.
- Coaching and mentoring team members while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing finance function.
About you
To be successful, you'll bring:
- CA qualification (or equivalent) and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Strong technical financial accounting experience within a large or complex organisation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of New Zealand Financial Reporting Standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capability.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
