What you will do:
The Senior Financial Advisor is a key role assisting in the delivery of a high standard of performance reporting across portfolios and to respective NZDF Governance Committees and Boards.
You will be:
Delivering quality financial and analytical insights from financial information to inform decision making at a senior level;
Presenting data in a usable and actionable information;
Driving improvements to processes and systems that support Financial information and enhance the quality of the data;
Responding to External Information requests, such as OIA / PQ / Select Committee questions and reporting financial information to the United Nations and other international organisations; and
Working collaboratively as part of a high functioning and focussed team.
What we need:
Excellent knowledge and understanding of management accounting and financial management principles and practices
Experience with a major ERP package and Business Intelligence Systems such as SAP or Oracle
Demonstrated research and financial problem-solving and decision making skills with sound quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

Is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one of more of the following countries for the last ten (10) years; either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
