Job Description
- 3-Month Contract
- Immediate Start
- 3 Days Per Week
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide practical, hands-on HR support within a fast-paced organisation undergoing change. This is an opportunity for a pragmatic HR professional who enjoys building manager capability, navigating complex people matters, and making a tangible impact from day one.
Working closely with operational leaders, you'll provide advice across a broad range of employment relations and people management issues while helping strengthen leadership capability and accountability. You'll be stepping into an environment where processes and manager capability are still developing, so resilience, initiative, and the confidence to challenge constructively will be key.
Offering three days per week with flexibility around how those hours are worked, this contract would suit an experienced HR practitioner seeking meaningful work alongside other commitments. Whether you're balancing family responsibilities, transitioning between roles, or complementing an existing consulting portfolio, this role offers the opportunity to add significant value over a short-term engagement.
Key responsibilities
• Provide end-to-end HR advice and support on a wide range of employee relations matters, including attendance and performance-related issues.• Coach and develop managers to build their confidence and capability in core people management practices.
• Support managers to take greater ownership of HR processes rather than relying on HR to complete all administrative tasks.
• Partner with operational leaders to address complex people challenges and implement practical solutions.
• Contribute to broader workforce initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Work alongside external providers undertaking workplace health and safety assessments and support the implementation of recommendations.
• Provide guidance on HR processes, compliance requirements, and general best practice.
• Support payroll-related activities as required.
About you
You will be a seasoned HR generalist with strong operational experience and a practical, no-nonsense approach. You'll bring:• Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
• Strong employee relations expertise, particularly managing attendance, performance, and employment relations matters.
• Confidence coaching and influencing managers at varying levels of capability.
• The resilience to operate in challenging, fast-moving environments.
• A collaborative yet assertive style, with the ability to appropriately challenge stakeholders when needed.
• Experience supporting organisations through periods of change or transformation.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work across both strategic and administrative aspects of HR.
What's on offer
• Initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension.• Three days per week, with flexibility around how and when those hours are worked.
• An excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional seeking greater work-life balance, returning to the workforce, managing family commitments, or looking to complement an existing consulting portfolio.
• Broad and varied HR portfolio with genuine scope to add value.
• Opportunity to make an immediate impact by improving manager capability and strengthening people practices.
• Contract rate of $95-$110 per hour to the contractor.
If you're a practical HR professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys helping leaders build capability, I'd love to hear from you. APPLY NOW as we will move quickly on this one!
