The ongoing programmes will include leadership development and capability lift, designing leadership frameworks. engagement surveys, working on organisation wellbeing inclusive of ways of working, systems and
addressing workload and psychological wellbeing, performance and development.

The Senior Organisational Development Adviser supports the building of organisational capability, desired culture and performance to contribute to the achievement of  strategic goals.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver OD programmes, initiatives and tools to deliver on our strategic priorities.
  • Provide thought leadership to the design of people initiatives that connect  people with the desired culture.
  • Lead co-design processes to deliver OD initiatives in partnership with colleagues .
  • Identify leadership, organisational culture, capability and performance issues and opportunities, and develop initiatives and action plans to support and effect change.
  • Identify ways to integrate and embed diversity, equity, inclusion and te ao Māori into OD initiatives and programmes.
  • Monitor the impact of new initiatives and programmes to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved, taking a continuous improvement approach.
  • Advise and coach People Leaders on ways to work towards the vision.
 
Key Skills:
  • Tertiary degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of OD initiatives within a complex organisation
  • Proven experience in leadership development and/or culture transformation would be an advantage
  • Ability to influence senior leaders from a subject matter expert position
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive and implement projects and initiatives to completion
  • Effective strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop a clear understanding of functional and organisational requirements (current and future) through relationships and appreciative enquiry
  • Understanding of different approaches to diagnosing and improving employee experience and organisational culture
  • A high attention to detail with excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with people at all levels
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills
  • Team player who has a willingness to collaborate, learn and share experience with others.
