As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based policy advice on issues that impact the living standards of New Zealanders.
- Prepare Cabinet papers, ministerial briefings, and strategic documents that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
- Collaborate across government agencies and with external stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes.
- Provide intellectual leadership and mentor junior staff.
- Contribute to cross-agency and cross-sector projects that align with broader government priorities.
- At least 5 years’ experience in policy, economics, finance, law, or a related analytical field.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- A deep understanding of public policy frameworks and the machinery of government.
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equitable policy outcomes.
- Intellectual curiosity, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
