I am currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Advisor, to assist with running the end-to-end pay for a large public sector client. This role reports to the Payroll Team Leader and looks after its own portfolio of employees. There are currently 4 Senior Payroll Advisors, with 10 in the wider Payroll team.
- End-to-end processing of Payroll for a portfolio of approximately 500 employees on a monthly basis
- End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll, this is on a rostered basis across the team
- Provide training and support to Payroll Officers, across areas of learning or complex problems
- Processing of payday filing and PAYE payments
- Using the SAP system, MS Suite and other various internal systems/databases
We are looking For:
- An experienced Payroll Advisor, who is confident to run end-to-end pay, with experience in a sole-charge environment, or running their own portfolio within a larger team
- Broad and up-to-date knowledge of relevant New Zealand payroll legislation, with an ability to apply this to BAU and complex situations
- Experience with SAP is ideal, however knowledge of various other payroll systems and a good ability to learn is sufficient
- A strong team-player who enjoys problem solving, with an ability to add value quickly
