We are partnering with a large, innovative government organisation, critical to the lives and livelihoods of Aucklanders, to assist in their efforts to appoint a number of key roles within their procurement function. This organisation has the scale and market clout to ensure that procurement is challenging and interesting, and you will be joining a high-performing team with exceptional leadership throughout the ranks.
Opportunities are available at the Specialist and Senior Specialist level, one to have a focus on a core operational part of the organisation, and the other within the business technology and corporate functions (Customer Experience and Human Resources Transformation). These roles will have a common key purpose focused on the development and execution of Procurement Category Strategies and Plans, the delivery of successful Sourcing outcomes and enable Supplier and Contract Management in order to deliver the best possible ‘public value’ outcomes for the organisation.
We would be very keen to discuss these positions in further detail with interested candidates who have at least 4-6 years of relevant experience at the Procurement Specialist level, or 7-10 years of experience at the Senior Procurement Specialist level.
These roles will require previous accountability for significant spend with experience across:
- Category management
- Sourcing, and
- Supplier relationship and contract performance management
Candidates will likely be educated to a tertiary level and hold relevant professional qualifications such as MCIPS, CIPS Diploma of Procurement and Supply, or equivalent.
