The Company:
This is a small yet fast growing commercial construction company that has focused on a niche market within the rural sector. They deliver builds that encompass food processing, pack houses, wine and beverage, and industrial buildings using high quality steel structures. They import using an Australian manufacturer who ensure the highest of quality and functionality for their clients. The design is done in house.
They have clients throughout NZ from Northland to Southland and this role will require travel.
The interest and sales are growing and the Directors are looking forward with a strong strategic growth plan. This role is crucial in overseeing the delivery from start to finish.
Role:
The role is a contracts manager/senior project manager role.
You will be involved through all stages.
From initial inception, including working with the Directors on pricing, procuring, any review of plans, scheduling and programming, resourcing, sub contractor engagement, contractual management, OSH, logistics, council compliance, systems set up and systems maintenance, ensuring projects budgets are met, training and mentoring of any staff under you.
The role is yours for the owning and you will have a big influence in the set up, steering processes and how the project will be delivered. You’ll play a big role in client interaction and working with any external consultancies and any other stakeholders.
Your Background:
The key background for this role is senior level experience of 10 year plus worked in the commercial construction industry. You will be working for one of the known main contractors where you work across all facets of the build and possess strong knowledge across concrete, steel, facades and interiors and how they interlink.
You are keen for a change, an opportunity to work for a smaller player where you can exert more ideas and influence outcomes without layers of hierarchy.
You possess all skills that come natural to you such as strong relationship building skills, a solid command of technical building aspects, and would enjoy using technology.
Qualifications from either trade or tertiary background are equally ideal.

Package:
Salary: $135K - $150K + veh + all reimbursable travel expenses.
The role is based in Gore, but will involve travel to clients up to the North Island.
