This is a well-run medium sized commercial contractor with a consistent work pipeline. They take care of their people, reward them well and have a sound reputation within the market. They focus on projects within the $5M - $30M range and cover a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, and education to name a few.
Your role will involve sole responsibility for a $20M high end apartment project plus assisting the construction manager on other projects.
- Programming and managing programme and quality (Microsoft Project)
- Assisting with construction methodology and consulting with architect/engineers
- Liaising with clients
- Attending to any council matters
- Material procurement
- On site management of project
- Progress reporting
- Health and safety
As an applicant you have 10+ years local project management experience on commercial construction projects in the small to medium sized range. You are carpentry trade qualified or tertiary qualified in construction management. Your technical skills are well honed including design resolution and integration of structural elements. Planning and programming skills are well developed, and you can manage site staff effectively. You have rapport with sub-contractors and consultants and can influence where necessary.
Rem: $170K - $180K + vehicle.
