This project management firm has an excellent reputation in the construction market and is known for delivering high profile projects to both the public and private sector. They have offices throughout NZ and are seeing some strong growth in their Tauranga office. They now require a senior project manager to deliver a significant infrastructure project with a start asap.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will need to come from a construction consultancy, or a consultancy combined with civil contractor background. You have proven experience on horizontal infrastructure projects including land development, rail and roading, water, civil spaces covering such areas as design management, project management, project planning, procurement and contract administration and construction management.
We are looking for applicants with 8 – 10+ years of experience with a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
The key skills and nature of the role will encompass:

Project plan preparation, strategy and scheduling

Cost control and quality management

Risk management
-
Tendering/procurement and administering NZS3910 at Engineers Representative Level

Leading meetings
-
Design and pre-implementation management

Financial management including internal billing and consultant cost management

Managing a team of external consultants and internal PMs and APM’s
This is an excellent opportunity to take the lead on a challenging infrastructure working in what is one of NZ’s best project management consultancies.
You will be rewarded with a salary between $150K and $170K.
