We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own and mature QA practices in a growing tech business building software and connected devices. This is a hands-on role focused on improving quality, driving automation, mentoring others, and introducing AI-enabled testing approaches.

About the Role

This is a hands-on execution role where you’ll be actively involved in testing across customer and product initiatives while owning QA planning, tooling, automation, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Engineering and Delivery teams, you’ll help ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle, releases are stable, and risks are identified early.

You’ll initially support multiple concurrent software and hardware projects, with the opportunity to shape the future direction of QA as the organisation grows.

You will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in software testing with experience testing hardware/software products, connected devices, or embedded systems (IoT, telecoms, consumer electronics, etc.)
• Strong hands-on experience across manual, automation, API, UI, and integration testing
• Experience building or contributing to automation frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or Espresso
• Exposure to Android or mobile platform testing (desirable)
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted testing, automation innovation, or emerging QA tools
• Hands-on mindset and willingness to work with physical devices and hardware as part of testing
