Due to internal reorganizational changes, a new role is being created to support the Director who will be focussing on other areas of the business. As a result, they now need an aspiring Senior QS that can step into a management role to lead and manage a team of QS's and be responsible for both the estimating and overall cost management of projects.
Key components of this role involve:
- Management of estimating and quantity surveying functions
- Lead a sizeable team, performance review and mentoring
- Leading tender preparation
- Overall cost management monitoring
- Identifying commercial risks
- Reviewing, developing and implementing operating processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
As an applicant, you have:
- 8+ years of Estimator/QS experience either from a main contractor with some interior’s projects as part of your portfolio or an interiors contractor with a strong understanding of tendering and contract administration
- Experience gained from a PQS firm will also be considered
- You have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, you can manage and guide intermediate level staff
- Highly analytical
- A sound understanding of the competitive market dynamics operating in Auckland
- A team player
Salary $140K - $170K pending experience
