A Tier 1 main contractor with a huge depth of construction expertise and project delivery history and are now looking for a high performing Senior level QS or Commercial Lead. Projects span large multi residential, healthcare, mixed use, and complex vertical builds to over $100M.
They have a $50M project in the pipeline that is a part of a JV with a civil contractor and require a Commercial Lead/Senior QS to join the business in its early phases with ECI.
Strategically they have earmarked the Wellington region as a growth region with some larger local and central government clients construction projects in the forward planning.
This role offers great prospects to step in and lead commercial management of this project from very early stages and opportunity to take a regional lead building a team as this contractor grows.
Key components of this role involve:
- scheduling/estimating
- tender preparation and analysis
- bills of quantities
- cost management
- subcontractor management
- team management
As a background, you are an experienced commercial quantity surveyor of at least 10+ years coming from a main contractor with a relevant tertiary degree. Experience gained with larger and complex project exposure is ideal as well as ECI experience. You possess confidence in being able to liaise across a range of stakeholders. The ability to negotiate and understand costs savings is important.
This role offers a completive market salary $170K - $190K with further benefits and access to ongoing professional development.
