My client is a blue-chip international organisation with multiple operations and facilities in the local market across the North and South Island. As a result of promotion, my client is now of the market for an experienced Security manager to oversee all aspects of the NZ operations and Facilities. With initially one direct report growing to two you will build on the strategic plan, ensuring projects within the organisation meet with security standards, set the strategy, and build professional relationships across the business to understand the challenges and opportunities to improve the structure.
This is a complex organisation that involves importing and exporting, and subsequently the distribution of goods across the country. Significant security measures are already in place, however there are a number of regulatory bodies and standards that are required to be maintained.
Ideally you will be a qualified security professional with extensive experience and skills gained from a law enforcement or military background, coupled with some corporate/commercial experience. It is essential to understand how relationships and internal negotiation works in order to enhance the security culture across key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
- People Management
- Relationship Management- Vendors, Regulatory Bodies, Stakeholders
- Significant investigation experience
- Strategic Security Project Management
- Facility Management (Security)
- Border and customs management experience
