Job Description

This is a commercial contractor who is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a highly complex, fast-paced interiors project scheduled to commence in October. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to take ownership of an intricate commercial fit-out project operating under an accelerated construction programme.

About the Role

As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the project from site establishment through to completion. You will provide strong leadership to the site team, proactively manage construction activities, and ensure programme, quality, safety, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Director, consultants, subcontractors, and client stakeholders, you will play a critical role in identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum on a demanding programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff
  • Drive programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Identify potential construction challenges and implement practical solutions before they impact delivery.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Manage site reporting, project documentation, and progress updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and project deliverables are met.
  • Support project planning, sequencing, and methodology development throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report directly to the Project Director on project performance, risks, and opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience delivering major interiors, refurbishment, and/or new build  commercial construction projects for a main contractor.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to think ahead, assess "what-if" scenarios, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • A strong understanding of construction methodologies, programming, quality management, and health and safety requirements.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working on Design & Build projects would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully deliver projects with challenging timeframes.
Remuneration: $150K - $180K pending experience
