This is a reputable and well-resourced residential group home builder that are planning further expansion supported by solid residential construction activity. They are part of a group and their client portfolio consists of a range of private developers as well as their own developments, clients with D&B standalone housing and Kainga Ora developments. They actively promote an inclusive team culture, encouraging various team building and social activities that go on throughout the year.
Due to increases in workload, they now need a site manager with good commercial acumen for a $4M townhouse development consisting of 14 towns houses. Beyond this project, they have more in the pipeline.
Your role will involve:
- Managing programme and quality
- Consulting with architect /engineers
- Working with the Engineer to the Contract
- Attending on council matters
- Material procurement/purchasing
- On site supervision
- Progress reporting including financial management
- Health and safety
As an applicant you have extensive local experience on high volume medium density residential builds or commercial construction projects in the small to medium sized range. You are ideally an LBP and it is essential you are carpentry trade qualified. You have excellent technical skills including understanding design issues, resolution and any integration required for structural aspects. Your planning and programming skills are well honed, you can manage multiple tasks across the site effectively including any people related issues. You have an excellent rapport with sub-contractors and consultants and can influence where necessary.
