About the Organisation
The organisation has around 1,000 employees. A private sector organisation, their Head Office is based here in Wellington. They have a total of 50 people based in Head Office, and an IT team of 12 people, within which you would be based.
This is a well known commercial organisation that is a household name around New Zealand. They are a stable and highly successful place, and offer a great working environment and career enhancement opportunities second to none.
About the role
This is a role that is perfect for someone who LOVES their development technologies, and for whom development is a passion and a hobby as well as a way of earning a living. So if you are someone who has a development background AND who loves learning about and using new systems and technologies, then this could be THE role for you.
The technology and work focus is wide ranging, so it is likely to suit someone who has come from a smaller organisation, and who is used to carrying out a big variety of work in a fairly unstructured environment.
What makes the position an especially unique and fantastic opportunity is that, going forward, this role ISN'T going to be systems specific.
THAT SAID, they are looking for someone who does have a good understanding of .NET development and frameworks that they can point do in their development career to date. That .NET exposure s a 'must have', and is something that your CV needs to talk about.
At the moment, they are using a large number of bespoke systems already in place that have been designed especially for them. You will be given full training on those, so no worries there.
The great thing is that they will be implementing brand new, leading edge systems in the near future, and you will get full training on those, too.
The role also needs someone who, in addition to their .NET development experience, has had exposure to initiatives such as Software-as-a-Service, Azure and Office 365 (although you don't need to be a guru).
You will also be carrying out process automation, which is where the business analysis side of things comes in.
You will also be involved in working with data and data sets and data analysis and reporting, so any experience you have had in working with tools such as SAS or similar products will be a big help.
The position will have you working on projects, so no boring same-old, same-old maintenance stuff for you here.
WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Someone who is keen, passionate, learns quickly, is bright, is engaging and who just LOVES technology
- Someone who is able to relate easily and openly to other business users, both technical and non-technical
- Someone who has senior level .NET development experience
- Someone with exposure to working with things like Software-As-A-Service, Azure and Office 365
- Someone who is keen to get involved in business process analysis and data reporting
- Someone who has a tertiary IT qualification.
This is are RARE opportunity for someone with a passion for technology to work with some of the smartest techie people in New Zealand AND some of the nicest people you could hope to find in a small, friendly team.
This role will enable you to take your career to a whole new level, so don't miss out!
