About the role:
An established organisation who is an award winning, world leader in network monitoring with offices based in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. They are looking for a Software Engineer - Performance to join their team.
The primary focus of this role is to maintain and develop software for our clients products, perform software tests, maintain and extend automated performance test lab at their R&D centre in Hamilton.
About you:
- Experience developing in Linux environments and working with related technologies, eg. Bash etc
- Experience with Python 3
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot or PyTest
- Experience with Git
- Working knowledge of modern networking technologies and Ethernet traffic protocols
- Working knowledge of network protocol analyzers eg Wireshark, TCPdump
- C and/or Java development experience desirable
- Devops experience desirable
- Familiarity with L4-L7 test equipment (eg Breaking Point)
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo
