Solution Architect
Location: Wellington OR Christchurch
Hybrid - 3 days in the office
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of solution architectures across application, data, and security domains. You’ll work closely with project and product teams to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic and operational goals.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise, business insight, and strong stakeholder engagement.
What you'll do:
- Lead solution architecture for priority initiatives and projects.
- Produce and maintain architecture artefacts aligned with enterprise goals.
- Provide strategic input into technology decisions and procurement.
- Mentor other architects and promote best practices.
- Build strong relationships across teams and external partners.
- Support organisational values, strategy, and cultural capability.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in architecture.
- 5+ years’ experience in architecture, ideally within government or large commercial environments.
- Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to integrate quickly into new teams and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools and digital collaboration platforms.
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to Māori data needs.
- Willingness to develop te reo Māori competency.
