We're seeking an experienced Strategic Business Manager to join a public sector organisation in Northland. Reporting directly into the Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead a multidisciplinary transportation team, manage key contractor and stakeholder relationships, and help shape transportation outcomes that make a real difference to local communities.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring an exceptional relationship builder who can influence, collaborate and deliver results across a wide range of stakeholders.
The Opportunity
- Lead transport strategy, planning and operational performance
- Manage key contractor and stakeholder relationships
- Drive service delivery, continuous improvement and customer outcomes
- Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Oversee budgets, contracts, risk and governance requirement
- Contribute as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Extensive contractor and contract management experience
- Strategic planning and business leadership capability
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Senior leadership experience within transport, roading, infrastructure, civil construction or asset management will be well regarded but not essential
