Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Synon Developer to join a skilled technology team supporting and enhancing critical enterprise applications. This role will suit someone with strong IBM i development experience who can confidently work across legacy systems, technical enhancements and production support.
Key responsibilities:
Develop, enhance and maintain applications using CA 2E/Synon.
Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Work with RPG, CL, DB2 and IBM i/AS400 environments.
Investigate and resolve application defects and production issues.
Complete unit testing, technical documentation and code reviews.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers and other developers.
Support system integration, releases and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
Strong commercial experience with CA 2E/Synon development.
Solid knowledge of IBM i/AS400 platforms.
Experience with RPG, CL and DB2 for i.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and change-management processes.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience in large, complex or business-critical environments would be advantageous.
