Job Description
- Wellington based
- 2 Year fixed term
We’re looking for experienced Technical Leads to play a key role in the design, delivery and evolution of complex, Azure-based data platforms.
This is an opportunity to work across significant data and digital transformation initiatives, providing technical direction and architectural leadership while helping engineering teams deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions. You’ll operate across a complex data landscape, working closely with architects, engineers, analysts and product teams while helping manage technical risk and maintain momentum across multiple streams of work.
You’ll bring a combination of strong technical depth and technical leadership, with the ability to remain close enough to the technology to guide engineering decisions while also taking a broader view of architecture, delivery and platform direction.
We’d particularly like to hear from people with experience in:
-
Leading the design and delivery of large-scale cloud data platforms
-
Azure Databricks, Delta Lake and Spark, alongside modern data architectures
-
Providing architectural and technical leadership within complex environments
-
Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, containerisation and secure system integrations
-
DevOps engineering practices, including CI/CD, observability and platform governance
-
Leading technical delivery across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups
-
Identifying and managing technical risk while maintaining quality and delivery continuity
-
Mentoring engineers and helping build strong technical capability within teams
-
Translating complex technical concepts into practical solutions and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
If you’ve worked on large-scale data platform modernisation or digital transformation and enjoy operating at the intersection of technology, architecture and delivery, I’d love to hear from you.
