Are you ready to take ownership of testing across a large-scale banking transformation? This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing assurance across a major Digital Backbone programme, helping migrate critical institutional banking services from legacy systems into modern, enterprise-wide platforms.

About the Role

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring quality across a complex transformation involving institutional onboarding and foreign currency institutional lending systems. This is more than just test management—you’ll be the central point of assurance across multiple platforms, streams, and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and delivering a comprehensive, integrated test strategy
  • Overseeing System Integration Testing (SIT) and end-to-end testing phases
  • Guiding and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Managing risks across interconnected systems and delivery streams
  • Ensuring downstream impacts (especially within NZ systems) are identified and mitigated
  • Influencing stakeholders across technology, delivery, and business teams

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with leadership and influence:

Core Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager in complex banking or financial services transformations
  • Strong expertise in test strategy, planning, execution, and risk-based assurance
  • Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end testing across integrated platforms
  • Confidence leading SIT, E2E, and UAT phases across multiple teams
  • Ability to identify and manage cross-system and cross-stream risks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (without relying on direct authority)
  • Technical understanding of integrations, data flows, and downstream system impacts

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with institutional onboarding, KYC, or client lifecycle processes
  • Experience with institutional lending systems
  • Knowledge of New Zealand regulatory requirements in banking
