As a Water Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Undertake hydraulic and hydrological assessments and modelling.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support project delivery from concept design through to construction.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and planning teams.
- Engage with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with project management, including programme, budget, and risk management activities.
- Provide technical input into proposals and business development opportunities.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
You will be a proactive and solutions-focused engineer who enjoys working collaboratively and building strong client relationships.
Ideally, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in water infrastructure design and delivery.
- Experience across water supply, wastewater, stormwater, or three waters projects.
- Knowledge of relevant New Zealand standards, guidelines, and council requirements.
- Experience using water modelling and design software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within project teams.
- Membership or progress toward Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status would be advantageous, but not essential.
